The EBEX® 611 hand-held metal detector is a
handy, tightly sealed unit. The unit is supplied with a ring-type
detector. The rotary ON/OFF switch is inset into the handle. Once the unit has
been switched on, adjustment is automatically initiated. Metal detection is
indicated by means of both optical and acoustic signals.
The device gives different alarms
for large and small metal targets.

The EBEX® 611 hand-held metal detector has no parts that can be
dismantled and runs on standard batteries or on NiMH batteries that have to be
removed for recharging.

The EBEX 611 is a very sensitive, easily operated instrument
comprising of a "Halo" head attached to a metal handle which
contains the electronics module and the battery compartment. The handle is
covered with a soft synthetic material. A rotary ON/OFF switch and
sensitivity adjuster are fitted inside the rear end of the handle. After
being switched on the device auto-calibrated itself to its preset values and
can be tuned to the desired sensitivity. Target detection is transmitted by
audible and visual alarms.
Apart from the combined ON/OFF switch with sensitivity adjuster
the instrument has no external components that can be tampered with by
unskilled personnel.
